What is above the clouds?
Climbing up and seeing what was previously hidden to us is a great metaphor for the vertical learning humans can do. These are discrete changes, step changes.
“Our future, ourselves, our planet and our stories, it’s all entangled” ― Festina LentÍvaldi*
On this page you’ll find stories about transformation. Enabling it. Helping to catalyse future potentials, alleviating much suffering for all.

Simple please, not simplistic.
Easily said but hard to do in our complex world. Music, poetry, pictures can all help the narratives. Enjoy these short videos!
We are changing the purpose of business with clean energy leading the way.
Our new purpose is that we serve the world and all beings.
Our world is changing, inside and outside of ourselves.
For climate and crises answers, we need to step into the extraordinary and then hold that with the ordinary.
Transformations is about emerging change—our world’s destabilising as some things get exponentially worse, some exponentially better. It can’t last and futures that encompass interlinked pieces—e.g. climate emergency solutions such as women’s access to education for fairness, equity and beneficial carbon drawdown—are what we can create.
If this sounds like a new level of thinking, it is! A paradigm shift, triple-loop change and new business models.
This page started with the Transformations 2019 conference in Chile. On the last day, Friday, 18 October, Santiago exploded. What’s happening in Chile mirrors pain and trauma around the world.
You’ll see Chile posts cover the events as well as interconnections and what we can do to help catalyse new futures, large system changes, justice and to address emergencies (including climate).
Reframing controversy. Ryan Lobo’s photo stories shift what we believe is possible. Intangible and unconscious to compassion and connection.
Transformation is inevitable.
Yet, using approaches that involve seeing the system and its patterns, sense-making that constructs new narratives and connecting can herald purposeful transformation for human and planetary wellbeing
We can put our rising awareness next to feeling empowered for change.
David Korten does so here taking what seems impossible to easy.
We are better off together. We are greater than fear. This wonderful advert takes xenophobia on without playing to division and polarisation. Aspirational and what we feel we are and want to be.
Stuck in our ways? Our thinking patterns have strong roots, memes. These are ideas, phrases, words, images which ‘virally’ replicate from brain to brain.
We navigate the world through stories. We tell ourselves them, create and hold on to them to make sense of complexity around us. What happens when they are past their use-by date? A new story is essential for scaling solutions. This is George Monbiot on these narratives and their power.
“Hasten slowly” said Augustus. Oh, this is hard. To imagine what can be created, to hold back, to act; to engage means delving into both despair and hope. That’s where we’re challenged to see the powerful in what we do which is always minimal and micro. Feeling adequate in the face of manifest inadequacy. Weaving together the pieces that hasten, slowly and steadily, benevolution.
