Heading to Kenya via Bozeman, we stopped off at the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas in Arlee, Montana. Under the direction of Tibetan Lama, Gochen Tulku Sangngag Rinpoche, this inspiring homage to peace and reflection is being created to cultivate kindness and equanimity, giving rise to compassion for the benefit of all beings that share the world. Everyone of any faith, culture and race is welcome. The sanctuary is in the heart of a region with a history of repression and violence against Native Americans and is bringing together aspects of Buddhism and Native American culture and spirituality. This beautiful sanctuary is providing a most relevant message of peace and reconciliation; it is well worth visiting.
