Trransformational: Climate and sustaining our psyches
Being fully present, sustaining ourselves while engaging with climate crises, is radical.
We’re called to be part of a profound shift, one underway within and around us all.
Transformative climate advocacy nurtures you-I-us for better realizing flourishing futures.
With my colleagues and collaborators, I’m thrilled to be part of hosting The Transformative Climate Advocacy Program.
It is an online learning journey exploring the interior dimensions of our engagement with climate change. That’s particularly our-your-other’s worldviews—our thinking patterns, beliefs and emotions.
This includes change-makers. Ourselves-yourseves to expand and empower us!
From November 2020 to February 2021 we’ll be supporting a journey into and with the interior dimensions of climate change. The program is aiming to:
- Expand our understanding of cultural and psychological development (i.e., of how mindsets and worldviews change and evolve) and apply these insights to climate advocacy and change work;
- Support our own psychological development and inner transformation to deepen impact and empower ourselves as change-makers;
- ‘Lean into’ the magical and mystical, to tap into the deeper purpose and greater potential that’s called for in this transformative historical moment.

Radical
The most radical thing any of us can do at this time is to be fully present to what is happening in the world.
– Joanna Macy
Our climate crisis is radical. In many ways, it staggers me every day. I-we knew about this decades ago. For over 30 years, at least, it has made economic as well as wellbeing sense to change.
Those conditions hold and held true for individuals, communities, businesses and our global village. Just a few of the examples I’ve been involved with are listed in the resources section below.
Yet, we’re now in a place and time where our options could be truly limited. Our action windows are compressed, there is much loss and grief. Simultaneously, we are expanded into connection. The climate crisis is revealing our inner dimensions. You and I, openings for action, growth, beauty and much flourishing. Individually and collectively, present and future, thriving.

Easter unfolding
I am absorbed as I step into the galleries exploring a timeling of growth—our society changing for collecitve care.
It has been done in art. Done in enduring collective structures. And I feel deeply connected to the inner shifts that are developed and illustrated in these Florence galleries.
Unfolding realities
One in fifty billion: At these odds I’m looking for what else is real and, while it does not serve me to hold onto conventional worldviews, unfolding into bigger realities is challenging.
Love Life Aliveness
We know transformation emerges from new ways of thinking and being. However, the how is less clear. Three calls for this: to love, to aliveness, to life. Two practices. One love!
